Interior design project for a guesthouse in Kościelisko with a view of the Tatras

This guesthouse project in Kościelisko was created to make the most of the location's greatest asset — direct contact with the mountain landscape. Large glazing opens the common area onto a view of the Tatras, while natural wood, stone and warm light build the atmosphere of a high-quality holiday property in the Podhale region.

Shared living area of the guesthouse

The heart of the building is a spacious common area with a living room, dining room and kitchen. The timber roof structure and natural stone surfaces emphasise the building's architecture.

The fireplace is one of the interior's main focal points. A seating area was designed around it, kept visually connected to the mountain landscape thanks to large glazing.

Rooms in alpine style

Wood, natural stone, brick and richly textured fabrics were used in the guest rooms. Each interior keeps its own individual character, while a shared material palette ties all the rooms together.

Interior design project for a guesthouse in the Podhale region

We deliberately avoided literal highland-style decoration in this project. Instead of ornamentation, we focused on natural materials, the architecture of wood, stone and the view of the Tatras.

DWACONCEPT is an interior architecture studio based in Rabka-Zdrój, designing interiors for guesthouses, houses and apartments in the Podhale region, Zakopane, Kościelisko and Nowy Targ, as well as in Kraków and Warsaw.
