Bedroom in alpine style in a house in Kościelisko

The night zone of this house in Kościelisko was designed around the distinctive architecture of the attic. A timber ceiling in fine layered oak, large glazing and natural materials create an interior closely tied to its mountain surroundings.

The bedroom was connected to an open bathing area. A glass partition preserves the visual continuity of the room while subtly separating the bathroom from the sleeping area.

Wood and black stone

Light ceiling wood is paired with bold black accents. One of them is the stone wall behind the washbasin, which contrasts with the light timber roof structure.

A similar material appears in other elements of the bathroom and wardrobe, giving the interior a bolder, more contemporary character.

Bathroom with a freestanding bathtub

The bathroom was finished with quartz sinter and wood. The freestanding bathtub was placed beneath the sloped timber ceiling, behind a glazed partition separating it from the bedroom.

The interior uses the attic's unusual geometry rather than hiding it. The roof slopes, wood and light become part of the composition rather than design constraints.

Home office with a view of the Tatras

A compact home office was also included in the night zone. The desk was placed beneath the roof slope, by a window opening onto a view of the Tatras.

Black cabinetry and a bookshelf create a more focused atmosphere, contrasting with the light wood used throughout the rest of the attic.

Interior design project for a house in the Podhale region

The night zone is part of a larger interior design project for the house in Kościelisko. Natural wood, quartz sinter, stone, glass and warm light create a contemporary interpretation of alpine style, tailored to the house's architecture and the mountain character of its location.
