Villa with a view of the Tatra Mountains

This villa in the Podhale region was designed around an exceptional relationship between the interior and the mountain landscape. The most important element of the living area is a tall, two-storey living room with large glazing, through which the view of the Tatras becomes part of the interior's architecture.

Wood, stone, natural fabrics and warm light create an elegant, calm mood. The whole has the character of a contemporary house in alpine style, without excessive decoration.

Two-storey living room with a stone fireplace

The living room was designed as a striking, tall space with a stone fireplace and timber ceiling. The floating stairs leading to the mezzanine are a light structural element that keeps the tall wall and the panorama beyond the glazing visible.

The stone of the fireplace and natural wood give the interior a mountain character, while soft furnishings keep the space cosy.

Dining area and kitchen

The dining area was furnished with a long oak table and black chairs. Decorative lamps hang above it, underlining the room's large scale.

The kitchen was kept in a darker colour palette, with a stone worktop and a large island. Its form stays simple, so it doesn't compete with the view or the living room's tall architecture.
